Oppo is soon introducing a new edition of the Oppo A16, the A16K. Official teasers aren’t out yet, but the phone’s product specifications and images were leaked ahead of launch. The source also published the pricing for this upcoming entry-level Oppo.
The report comes from 91Mobiles, a popular publication with a proven record for leaks. It notes that the Oppo A16K comes in three colors: blue, white, and black shades. The phone's shell is 7.8mm thick and weighs only 175g.
One lens and an LED flash are housed inside the raised camera platform. The rear camera is 13MP. Oppo A16k is a basic phone with only barebones features, lacking even a fingerprint scanner. Flip the Oppo A16K over to find a notched screen with heavy bezels. It’s a 6.52” IPS LCD that peaks at a 720P resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The camera housed inside the notch is 5MP.
Everything is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35, a 12nm budget gaming chip. The upcoming addition to the Oppo price list runs on a 4,230 mAh battery without quick-charging support. The ColorOS 11, built on Android 11, ships with the Oppo A16K right out of the box.
You can pick from 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB storage editions. It’s expandable via the microSD slot onboard the phone. The source puts the starting price of Oppo A16K at ~ Rs. 22,900.
