Oppo A3x received a discount last month on its 4/64GB variant in Pakistan. A few weeks later, the company has now decided to do the same for A3x’s 4/128GB memory trim, which has been retailing at Rs 40,000 ever since the launch. The official price cut should make the phone appealing to Pakistani folks.
The original Rs 40,000 price tag for Oppo A3x (4/128GB) has been reduced to Rs 36,999. That’s a hefty discount and knocks off Rs 3,000 from the variant’s price. It also changed our perspective on the phone’s specifications, which now seem more desirable at the new retail cost.
Oppo A3x’s display wasn’t impressive from the start, but at least it’s more tolerable now at the new price. The panel is a 6.67” IPS tuned to a 90Hz speed at about 720p resolution, or what we normally call an HD+. A 1000-nit brightness level is pretty good for an IPS Liquid Crystal Display.
The latest 4G Oppo mobile even has 180Hz touch sampling and a Panda Glass layer to shield it from damage. The most impressive part about this device is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip. This is a 2.1 GHz eight-core SoC, so it handles most of the typical user activities just fine. The chip also limits it to 4G connectivity, but that’s all you need right now in the Pakistani market.
As we said before, the discounted variant only has 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. But you always have virtual memory for expansion and an SD card slot to make room for more files. This handset is built tough. Oppo grabbed military-grade certifications for A3x. The phone is MIL-STD-810H compliant, which means it has the same durability and drop resistance as some standard USA military gear.
It even has an IP54-rated build, so it’s safe from dust and minor water splashes. But be sure not to completely submerge it in the water. You can also use it with wet hands since A3x’s screen is great at accurately detecting touches. The camera leaves something to be desired.
The A3x by Oppo mounts a low-quality 8 MP lens on the rear side and a 5 MP selfie cam on the front. There’s a 5100 mAh cell inside to power everything up. A 45W fast charging is among the best features A3x has to offer. For Rs 36,999, the phone’s specifications are justifiable.
