The all-new OPPO A5 Pro arrives in Pakistan shortly after the official teaser on Facebook. It’s durable, full of AI features, and powerful enough to keep the user experience on par with midrange devices. The company unveiled two A5 Pro variants in Pakistan with 128 GB and 256 GB of Storage, both including up to 8GB RAM.
There’s a 6.67” IPS display on the phone’s top with a 90Hz refresh rate, but it’s limited to 720p HD+ resolution. Readability under the sun seems promising here with an advertised 1000 nits brightness. We usually see this kind of luminance on AMOLED, but IPS technology seems to have taken a giant leap forward.
The A5 Pro has an IP69 rating, which is the best durability certification in the industry. It will survive full water submersion at up to 1.5m depth. Oppo claims that the phone has been tested through 14 Military-grade rugged tests and survives accidental drops without damaging the display or the chassis.
It wasn’t confirmed before, but now you can be sure that the processor carried by Oppo new Pro model is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 1, making it an LTE device. This is a 2.1GHz SoC with 8 cores, almost equivalent to Helio G100’s performance, but it’s built on an 11nm architecture. Still, it has technologies like the UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM, so it should perform well.
Oppo A5 Pro 4G uses 8 GB RAM to handle tasks and background apps. There’s a 256GB variant with fast storage for quick access to files and responsive app opening times. A 5800mAh battery runs the device, and a 45W fast charging provides excellent support when the device runs out of juice.
The 2 MP monochrome depth mapper aside, the Oppo A5 Pro brings a decent 50 MP primary camera on the back, and the selfie shooter rounds up the package with an 8 MP front sensor. The software is up-to-date here with the latest Android 15 and Color OS 15 blend available from the get-go on Oppo A5 Pro.
AI LinkBoost, AI GameBoost, AI Portrait Retouching, AI Eraser 2.0, and AI Studio are some of the features you’ll find throughout its Color OS 15 system. The doesn’t have an AMOLED, so it uses a traditional side-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone comes with a VC cooling chamber to provide stable FPS during gaming. The phone’s 8/128GB variant costs Rs 49,999/-. The Oppo A5 Pro with 8/256GB storage is priced at Rs 54,999/-.
