Previously, OPPO launched the mid-ranger “Oppo A56 5G” in October 2021, highlighting the Dimensity 700 chip in the confines of China. Now, a spin-off has been born and quietly unveiled in China. The newcomer goes by “OPPO A56s,” and it has many value-worthy features to its name.
Starting with the front, we have a 6.56-inch IPS display spanning corner-to-corner with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. A waterdrop notch on the OPPO A56s melts into the screen to hide an 8MP selfie shooter. Mobile has an excellent build that compliments its screen.
Powered by a mid-range 5G-ready Dimensity 810 chipset, OPPO A56s shares 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. Users will find a microSD card slot with the phone for complimentary storage. On boot, the device runs Android 12 x ColorOS UI by default.
The camera island on the pristine addition to the OPPO Rate list seems identical to Oppo’s A77 5G. The primary unit packs a 13MP sensor and has a 2MP depth mapper for assistive use. A56s has a dual-LED flash mounted inside the non-accented area of the island. Weight and depth-wise, Oppo A56s measure 186g and 7.99mm.
In essential features, A56s boasts a 5G modem, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-facing fingerprint reader. With two storage options, 8+128 and 8+256, the new Oppo phone starts at ~$189 or ~42,000 PKR.
A56s ships in two frosted matte finishes in Black and Blue. Though it has the potential to flourish in Pakistan, the rising economic instability keeps challenging new smartphone launches in the region. So we don’t expect it to become official here. Besides, we already have a successor on the shelves, the OPPO mobile A57 price in Pakistan is Rs.39,999.
