There's a hefty discount you can benefit from right now if you buy an Oppo A58 or A78. We hear they are cutting the retail prices of both models to retrigger sales and empty their inventory. Oppo A58 (8/128GB) was Rs 49,000 before today. But it will only cost you Rs 43,999 moving onward. It's almost Rs 5,000 off on that one.

Oppo A78 (8/256GB) follows. But with a dramatic Rs 9,000 price cut. This phone cost Rs 65,000 on retail earlier. But they shot it down to Rs 55,999 today, and it fits well now for the value it provides. You can say it's true for both phones. We want to debrief you on their specifications. So keep on reading.

Oppo A78

It ranks high in the A series. So it holds premium hardware like AMOLED 6.43" 90Hz. We find a dated camera punch hole conveniently resting on the left side. And there's a thick chin that accompanies it. Its resolution is 1080p. So it's sharp enough for pixel peepers. But it will challenge your eyesight under the sun. Because it only has 430 nits brightness.

Then there's its bi-lens camera system on the rear side. Standard configuration 50MP + 2MP sensors are residing under it. And we get an 8MP shooter at the front for selfies. Android 13 x Color OS controls the soft side of things. And the storage built into it is 256 GB with 8 GB RAM.

A Snapdragon 680 processor is pulling the load of its performance here. Make the phone secure using the display's fingerprint scanner. You can listen to music on dual speakers. Plus, this phone can last a whole day with that 5000 mAh battery backed by 67W charging.

Oppo A58

This one obviously has a lower rank. So it does an IPS 6.72" display with no fancy refresh rate. But it does allow you 180Hz touch sampling if that's something of interest. You'll see an FHD+ 1080p resolution with it. That centered hole punch for the selfie camera looks unobtrusive, and its brightness is 680 nits. So it's plenty bright.

Helio G85 is the SoC here, controlling all of its functions. 8 GB RAM assists, and 128 GB storage helps you store the files on the A58. There is no under-screen fingerprint ID here. But we can use one on the side, where the power button exists.

Both phones have cameras of the same pedigree. A 50MP first camera and a 2MP depth assistant snap your moments on the A58. Also, it does selfies with an 8MP front shooter. Fast 33W charging isn't as premium as the A78's. But it does replenish its 5000 mAh cell within an hour.
