The ever growing A-series from Oppo introduces a new entry today. The Oppo A60 has starter-level internals bundled in a polished/generic design. The handset was unveiled moments ago and will start selling in Vietnam first. But it should also launch in other neighboring markets soon.

We begin with yet another capsule-style design, featuring a matte surface, flat edges, and round corners. The rear cameras on Oppo A60 sit on two glass lenses painted jet black and herald a contrast against its ‘Blue Purple’ or ‘standard Blue’ colorways.

Buyers get a 6.67-inch IPS display that produces an HD+ resolution at a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. To house the front-facing camera, Oppo has poked a hole in the top of the screen. The A60 is encapsulated in light bezels on three sides and a bulky chin at the bottom.

Qualcomm’s aged chipset, the Snapdragon 680, is at the heart of the A60 — much like Oppo’s older phones, except it’s available in 8/128GB or 8/256GB storage configurations. The battery capacity of the Oppo budget new model reaches 5000 mAh and fast charges over 45W. Per the advertisement, it can do a 50% charge in 30 minutes.

Oppo’s latest Android 14-based ColorOS 14 provides the software interface. The camera setup on the Oppo A60 is your average optics array for a budget smartphone: a 50MP main camera rounded off by a 2MP depth sensor. Selfies are taken with an 8MP f/2.0 camera.

Alongside the high screen refresh rate, the Oppo A60 has dual stereo speakers, and an IP54 rating — a noteworthy addition in today’s market. The phone is secured with a side-facing fingerprint reader. It starts at approximately $216 (~PKR 60,000).
