Oppo A78 5G New Model Certified By NBTC; Hints at an Imminent Global Launch

Oppo is gearing up to launch a new A-series smartphone, the Oppo A78 5G. The device has emerged on multiple certification platforms, including Indonesia's TKDN, the EEC, and Thailand's NBTC. While the listings have revealed the model number (CPH2565) and the marketing name of the device, they have yet to unravel its specifications, pricing, and design.

Based on the model number, the A78 5G appears to be a successor to last year's Oppo A77 5G. It drew power from a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, had a 6.56-inch IPS display, and a 48MP dual-lens rear camera. The new A78 is easily confusable with the January released A78, but the varying model numbers suggest the upcoming device might be an entirely different smartphone.

Although Oppo is yet to announce a launch date for the new A78 model, we know from the certification that the device is imminent for a launch in Thailand and will likely break cover in other markets shortly afterward.

Regrettably, the current NBTC listing only discloses the model number CPH2565 and the A78 5G name. Essential details such as specifications, pricing, design, and other pertinent information about the latest 5G OPPO mobile remain undisclosed.

We will continue to monitor the situation and promptly provide an update as soon as more information becomes available. In the absence of specific details about the new Oppo A78, you can use the Oppo A77's specs as a reference point for its potential features.

A77 has MediaTek Dimensity 810 6nm octa-core processor, designed for mid-range smartphones. The 6.56-inch display offers vibrant colors and sharp details, and its 5,000mAh battery is large enough to last a full day on a single charge. It continues to impress with a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, and an IPX4 rating against splashes.
