Oppo A80 5G Leaked in Entirety; Legit Renders, Full Specs, and Price Tag

To replace the A79 5G from last year, Oppo A80 5G is the successor they’ve been working on behind the scenes, making headway for a global debut. 91Mobiles leaked most of its hidden details, pricing, and official renders yesterday, and from its appearance, it may be an entry-to-mid-range option.

We start with the most crucial detail they added to the report. This phone isn’t an original but a reincarnation of their recently launched Oppo A3 Energy Edition in China. They may have rebranded it as A80 5G for a launch outside the home market. Here’s how the phone looks and some of its specs.

This one is a flat 6.67” plain LCD device. 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits brightness are a fitting upgrade compared to the forerunner. And the report suggests its resolution goes up to HD+ 720p. That last bit may raise some eyebrows because it will be a downgrade from A79’s FHD+ 1080p screen.

It’s a 5G device, as the title says. What we have here is an entry-level chip from MediaTek. In 2024, it may be the cheapest one with a 5G modem onboard. D6300’s core count is eight with a max frequency of 2.4GHz. Oppo's new 5G smartphone pairs the engine to  LPDDR4X 8 GB RAM.

There’s at least 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage up for grabs. 5000mAh power source and a 45W SuperVOOC charging kit keep it running. Then, you’ll have a 50 MP rear primary, 2 MP rear secondary, and an 8 MP front selfie unit for your photos and videos. From what the report claims, Europe will be among the first regions to shelf the A80 5G at €249 (~PKR 75,000).
