Oppo entered the affordable 5G smartphone market with the A92s 5G, earlier in April. The phone has yet to go global, but Oppo is following up on this model with another edition: the Oppo A92 5G. Its details have surfaced on TENNA’s database, but the listing is untitled, referring to the phone as only PDYM20 / PDYT20. However, a Chinese phone leaker notes that this mystery phone would be the A92 5G.
Based on the information already made public, it's a mid-range device that'll arrive at an affordable Oppo price. the alleged A92 5G weighs 175g and is 7.9mm thick — specifications which may be a guide to the phone’s lightweight build. For biometric security, a side-facing fingerprint reader resides on the power button.
The Oppo A92 screen stretches 6.5”, corner to corner, delivering an FHD+ resolution and housing an 8MP selfie camera. The rear-camera setup uses a 16MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth-assist sensor.
Also attached to the listing are two renders that reveal a hole-punch design and a triple-camera, locked inside a squircle camera housing. This build isn’t a far cry from the one we’ve seen on the A92, which had a capsule-shaped cutout and an additional pill-style decorative element on the rear-camera.
You can make out a gradient-rocking, polished rear-shell of Oppo A92 5G, speculated to come in pure black, white-to-purple, and silver-to-red shades.
Not unlike the slew of many budget-friendly 5G phones we’ve seen of late, the Oppo A92 is also powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 platform, linked to 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage (non-expandable). The sub-flagship internals run on a 4,035 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Speculated to start from CNY 1,999 (~47,000 PKR), Oppo will ship the 5G device with the ColorOS 7 (based on Android 10).
