Oppo has yet to unveil the long-awaited Oppo A92 officially, but the phone can be found listed on an online store, where it’s available for pre-orders. The A92 starts at IDR 3,999,000 (~43,000 PKR without taxes), and with each purchase in Indonesia, the Brand is also throwing in a pair of wireless earphones in the same Oppo Price tag.
The Oppo A92 gives you a cookie-cutter 2020 design: a punch hole on the front, and an L-shaped quad-camera inside a rectangular module. The display is fenced with minimal bezels all around, and the hole is cut out in the top-left corner.
The rear shell of A92 has a frost-like glossy finish, featuring a ‘light ray’ pattern originating from behind the camera housing. You can pick from Aurora Purple, Twilight Black, Shining White shades.
The display stretches 6.5 inches across and delivers an FHD+ resolution. The in-display front camera on A92 by Oppo has a 16MP sensor behind it. The quad-camera on the back contains a 48MP main shooter with a larger-than-average f/1.7 aperture, rounded off by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a pair of 2MP depth-assist and macro lenses. On paper, the ensemble seems to meet what you’d expect from a typical mid-ranger.
The build is hefty: 8.9 mm thick and weighs 192g. It has a side-mounted thumbprint reader on its frame as well, its a nice option to have at these mid-range Oppo prices.
Oppo has opted for the Snapdragon 665 platform to power Oppo A92 and combined it with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The setup is hooked up to a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The hardware, of course, runs on the latest Color OS 7.1 (Oppo’s UI based on Android 10).
Now that the phone is already available for pre-booking via a third-party online store, an official launch shouldn’t be far off. We won’t be surprised if Oppo A92 debuts in Indonesia first.
