Without much fanfare, Oppo introduced yet another entry-level 5G phone in China — the Oppo A93s 5G. The phone shares its design language and many specs with the previous Oppo A54 & A93 models, but the color palette is fresh, more vibrant. Here is everything you need to know.
The Oppo A93s 5G is offered in three editions: a holographic iridescent paint job, sunburst style ocean blue, and an elegant-but-muted dark gray. Three cameras are laid out inside a squarish plate, located off-center. The array features a 48MP wide camera and two 2MP portrait and macro shooters.
Flip the phone over to find a 6.5” IPS LCD. Oppo A93s 5G delivers a crisp 1080P resolution, a fluid refresh rate of 90Hz, and 600 nits of peak brightness. It’s surrounded by slim bezels on three sides and a hefty chin on the bottom.
A single hole is punched through its corner, housing a low-res 8MP selfie lens. For convenient security, the side-facing power button pulls double duty as the thumbprint scanner. The handset comes at an affordable Oppo mobile price, considering it to be a 5G handset.
The chipset inside the A93s 5G is MediaTek Dimensity 700 — the most affordable 5G mobile platform that Oppo has to offer. It works with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card. A multi-dimensional vapor chamber keeps the phone cool.
It’s all powered by a 5000 mAh battery and the latest ColorOS 11.1, built on Android11. Oppo A93s 5G quick-charges over 18W. The phone goes on sale on July 30 in Oppo’s domestic market. It’s priced at CNY 1999 (~ Rs. 49,500.)
