Oppo A94 5G is the latest addition to Oppo's ever-growing budget series, following on the heels of Oppo A54 that launched in Pakistan this week. The Reno5 Z 5G recently debuted in Europe as the A94 5G, starting with Luxembourg. It’s a budget-tier Oppo, built on Dimensity silicon and a predictable spec sheet.
You can tell right off the bat that Oppo went with a traditional, generic design for the OPPO A94 5G. The shell is mildly curved and beveled along the corner and edges. Out on the front, the screen is hole-punched and flanked by a thick chin. It’s painted in Fluid Black and Cosmo Blue finishes showcased behind a squarish camera plate. On the whole, the Oppo A94 5G is 7.8mm thick and weighs only 173g.
The display of the latest Oppo model we’re looking at is a 6.43” AMOLED panel with 800 nits of peak brightness, a full HD resolution, and a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. The A94 5G is made more effective and responsive with a built-in fingerprint scanner and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
At the heart of the Oppo A94 5G, we find the MediaTek Dimensity 800U, powered by a 4,310 mAh battery. The phone can be fast-charged over 30W. Software magic intelligently manages the charging and extends battery life.
Its build also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for NFC but lacks support for storage expansion. Oppo ships the A94 5G with the latest ColorOS 11.1, based on Android11. You get 128GB of maximum storage and 8GB of memory for multitasking.
For optics, Oppo A94 5G features a 48MP f/1.7 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and two 2MP B&W and macro sensors. The selfie camera inside the hole punch is 16MP. The array can shoot in HDR, Dynamic Bokeh, Night Plus, and Dual Video modes. It’s priced at €359 (~ Rs. 65,000.)
