Oppo has been churning out new A-series releases like clockwork recently. The latest in this line is the Oppo A95 5G unveiled in China yesterday, where it goes on sale later this month. The A95 5G, much like the many recent budget phone Oppo A54, features a generic design but with decent specs to boot.
Beyond just sporting a recycled look, the OPPO A95 5G is, in fact, a mild refresh of the Oppo F19 Pro+. We start with the Dimensity 800U chipset at the phone’s heart.
It’s a mid-range chip from MediaTek’s 5G line, combined with 8 gigabytes of memory and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card to 256GB.
Oppo A95 5G has a slim, lightweight footprint, weighing in at 173g and 7.8mm in depth. The battery had to be trimmed down to 4310 mAh to meet these dimensions — plenty to see you through the day, and when you run out, the new addition to the Oppo price list can be quickly charged using the 30W power brick. The newest ColorOS 11.1 runs on this hardware right out of the box.
The shell comes in three color options: silver, two-tone blue and purple, and charcoal. Oppo A95 5G also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C interface. Three cameras are laid out inside the housing on the back, featuring a 48MP f/1.7 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens.
A 16MP front camera lives inside a hole-punch in the display that delivers a full HD resolution. It’s an AMOLED panel with a built-in fingerprint scanner and thin bezels. Oppo A95 5G starts from 1,999 Yuan (~ Rs. 47,800.)
