Oppo A96 got Unveiled in Pakistan on schedule yesterday. A mid-range phone placed slightly above the Oppo A76, the A96 offers a fluid display and rapid charging support. Oppo is currently taking pre-orders through its online partners and early birds get a free battery bank with each registration.
The spec list isn’t the most competitive on the market right now, but performance is the one highlight of this Oppo phone. The Oppo A96 is powered by a massive 5000 mAh battery and 33W SuperVOOC charging. Oppo promises a 50% top-up in just 26 minutes. Plus, anti-burnout AI protocols ensure safe recharging overnight.
Next, we have the 6.49” IPS LCD. It rocks a wide color space, 180 Hz touch sampling, 90Hz refresh rate, and 1080P resolution. At a pixel density of 401 PPI and 600 nits, the Oppo A96 gets acceptably vivid and bright. We find a 16MP front camera embedded in its O-hole cutout.
The dual rear camera on Oppo A-series new model features a 50MP f/1.8 wide-angle shooter and a 2MP portrait lens. The A96 can shoot in Night mode on front and back cameras, with AI-based retouching and neon portrait filters.
Oppo A96 has a scratch-resistant casing rated IP5X and IPX4 against dust and waterproofing. So the phone can survive a fall of up to a meter. Dual speakers deliver immersive stereo sound, and the power key doubles as the thumbprint scanner. You can choose from two Glow Design options — Starry Black and Sunset Blue.
The A96 by Oppo runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680. It’s a new 4G chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Lastly, the ColorOS 11.1 x Android 11 is the default operating system. It starts from Rs. 41,999.
