Oppo has been one of the fastest-growing contenders in the global smartphone game, and the company continues to expand its product lineup with exciting new devices. The upcoming device in the company's roster is the Oppo A98 5G, which has just received certification from the NBTC in Thailand.
Oppo A98 is to ascend in two different models; one for China and the other for the global market. Since its initial appearance on TENAA under the code PHQ110, Oppo A98 has been subject to speculations multiple times. The newly surfaced device version has a new model number CPH2529. Both appear similar in the naming scheme and otherwise.
Since both newcomers root from the same stem, it's safe to assume their specs are aligned. While NBTC didn’t reveal anything noteworthy about A98, TENNA has divulged plenty about the newcomer.
The Chinese version of the Oppo A98 might offer powerful performance with its 2.2GHz octa-core processor paired with a mammoth 6.7" Full HD+ curved AMOLED display. The device will feature a fingerprint reader placed under the screen for biometric authentication. Despite the high Oppo smartphone price, the company has a strong following among tech enthusiasts who value its sleek design and powerful performance.
With up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, the Oppo A98 promises to be a capable device for multitasking and storing large amounts of data. The phone will be powered by a battery with a rated capacity of 4,690mAh, providing ample power for extended use.
The Oppo A98 will also offer impressive camera capabilities, with a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 108MP primary camera, a 2MP depth/macro camera, and a 16MP selfie camera. Oppo A98 (PHQ110) will likely set out early in China, while A98 (CPH2529) might go official later in the global markets.
