Oppo F15 is going official on January 16, 2020, and the Chinese phone maker has already teased us with the design and a handful of specs. From the looks of it (as well as the specs), the Oppo F15 is shaping up to be a rebranded Oppo A91 which was launched last month in China.
A promo poster published by official channels showcases a notched design with a triple-camera in a vertical arrangement – a design identical to the one we saw on A91. That said, the rear-shell sports a fresh look. The poster also reveals a few key specifications.
You’re looking at a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that produces an FHD+ resolution, embeds a fingerprint reader, and touts a notch with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter housed in it. The upcoming phone boasts a respectable 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. On the back, you get a 48-megapixel primary shooter, that is rounded off by an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors.
The internals are powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 chip and as per the official Amazon.in listing, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of native storage. The page also confirms that F15 will have the same dimensions and weight (160.2 X 73.3 X 7.9 mm and 172 g) as Oppo A91, further confirming that Oppo F15 is a rebranded A91 for other Asian markets.
Coming back to the poster, F15 will be drawing power from a 4025 mAh power cell with support for VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging. The hardware is likely to run on Android-Pie-based Color OS 6.1. You get a 3.5 mm headphone jack and support for up to 256 GB storage expansion. And if the Oppo A91 color scheme is anything to go by, the back panel should be offered in Red, Black, and Blue gradient hues.
The phone is expected to hit Pakistani markets in February with an expected retail price of PKR 45,999.
