In November, Oppo started rolling out the latest ColorOS 11 for the Oppo F17 Pro. The global update has reached almost all regions outlined in the rollout-plan. But, it still hasn’t made its way to Pakistan. Official Oppo sources tell WhatMobile that the OS upgrade will be sent out as early as next week.
The roll-out for the F17 Pro is ongoing, and you can expect your phone to receive the update package by December 12. Your phone should notify you when it arrives, but if it doesn’t, you can find the manual update button in the ‘Software Updates’ menu.
The F17 Pro has a super AMOLED screen, so it supports Always-on Display. And the new ColorOS 11 lets you tweak and personalize the AOD (always on display) templates. Plus, you can create your very own themes.
Oppo didn’t give the UI a visual overhaul. But the tailoring and customization is front and center in ColorOS 11 -- something which has always been at the heart of the Android experience. The dark mode comes in three different contrast levels. You can get fantastic wallpapers thanks to the Artist Wallpaper Project onboard. There’s even a mini music studio feature that lets you create your own ringtones.
Functionality has also improved. With a simple three-finger gesture, you can get instant translations. FlexDrop allows you multitask more conveniently. You can split the OS into multiple profiles, say one for work and one personal. Also, with the Battery Guard feature, the phone can charge safely.
The animations are smoother, more responsive. And with better resource management, your F17 Pro will keep running like new for longer. The UI can learn your behavior, preload the apps, and improve app launch speeds.
