Oppo F29 Pro 5G Key Specs Revealed Early; Here’s What to Expect

Oppo plans to bring the F series back this year with an Oppo F29 Pro 5G device, and its details were tipped by a very well-known leaker yesterday. We found initial hints of this device with a certification in December, and there was silence for quite a while after that. Now, the F29 Pro is back in the headlines, which gives us a lot to talk about.

Before we get the main news, you should also know that Bluetooth SIG certified it last week. We assume the phone’s launch is near and might happen later this month or in early April. The specs leaked by the tipster were also quite attention-worthy, and here’s a rundown of all the details.

Sudhanshu Amboher leaked the Oppo F29 Pro 5G on X and said that it’s a 6.7” premium Quad-Curve AMOLED device, which packs a 1080p FHD+ resolution, pushing pixels at around 120Hz refresh rate. We know Oppo’s F series brings upper midrange devices, so the tipped screen stats sound pretty accurate.

Dimensity 7300 is a fitting chip for this segment, and according to the tipster, the Oppo F29 Por 5G bundles that with an LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The old F27 Pro had a Dimensity 7050 chip, so you should be getting at least a generational upgrade in terms of performance. For pricing details, refer to the Oppo rate list.

The details about its battery were also found in the same post. As it turns out, the F29 Pro 5G gets support for 80W fast charging, and that plugs into a 6000mAh cell for a solid 1.5-day power backup. There’s also hope for an In-display fingerprint for privacy.

Let’s not forget that F29 Pro 5G is coming with an Android 15 system out of the box, which means the Color OS skin and probably Oppo’s custom AI suite. We’d like to caution the readers that some of the details might prove inaccurate since this is an early leak without any official hints from the company. Like always, take this news with a pinch of salt.

Oppo F29 Pro 5G exists, and there’s no question about it since there has already been a certification with its model code CPH2705 and an approval stamp from Bluetooth SIG. Also, since this device is a Pro version, it’s safe to assume that a vanilla model also exists. Given that the Oppo F27 Pro was its predecessor, we can expect some notable upgrades in this new model. We’ll keep an eye out for more models in the series and report to you through our daily news portal, so stick around.
