Two more Find X devices have come out in China now, and it would seem they are just as bleeding edge as ever in all the categories. If you haven’t heard about them yet, they call these new handsets ‘Oppo Find X8’ and ‘Find X8 Pro.’ They certainly piqued our interest, and surely they will yours too. This is what you need to know about them.

Oppo Find X8 Pro

This phone fronts you with a 6.78” LTPO OLED panel that gets you micro-curves on all sides, so it keeps flat while the bezels are kept ultra-thin. There’s a 120Hz refresh rate here, standard for the segment. There’s even a 1.5k resolution, and the X8 Pro can reach 4500nits brightness with that screen.

X8 Pro is the lead unit here, so they gave its camera slightly more attention and you’ll appreciate how great it turned out. There’s a 50 MP main unit and 50 MP ultrawide, but it seems all the focus is on X8 Pro’s third periscope telephoto 50 MP lens and its 6X optical zoom range.

They used nothing but the best chip for both Find X8 phones, a Dimensity 9400. Also, because this chip runs hot, they even gave it the best-in-class cooling solution, so it doesn’t thermal throttle. Of course, we also see some AI options built into their Color OS 15 systems.

X8 Pro does 50W wireless charging and 80W wired charging when plugged into its 5,910 mAh cell, and all of this comes packed in a chassis with an IP69 rating. Find X8 Pro has a base price of CNY 5,299 (~PKR 206,000) only for the 12/256 GB variant.

Oppo Find X8

This phone is a bit smaller at 6.59” but you won’t find much difference here, feature-wise. They gave it a flat profile for its OLED LTPO panel, and there are also traits like 1.5k resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, or 4500nits brightness, etc, so it’s just as good as the Pro phone.

X8 Pro, because it ranked higher, has four 50 MP units on the back, but the simple X8 only has three: 50 MP first main + 50 MP ultrawide + 50 MP periscope 3X telephoto. At least, they share the same 32 MP selfie sensors, so that’s a plus.

Another thing they share is the charging speeds of 50W wireless and 80W wired, but the X8 only scored 5630mAh cell with them. There’s a fingerprint reader on each of their screens, and even the same D9400 chipsets built-in, so they are unified in most categories. Still, Find X8 will only cost CNY 4,199 (~PKR 163,000) for the base 12/256 GB config.
