Oppo K7x Benchmarks Reveal more Specifications: the Cheapest 5G Oppo Phone Yet?

Faisal Rasool

Last week, Oppo announced Oppo K7x, an entry-level 5G phone that’s coming out in China. It’s the pocket-friendly version of the Oppo K7 (which itself belongs to Oppo’s obscure K-series limited to the Chinese market). The K7x is launching on November 4. Its teaser posters have given us a sneak preview of the design already. But ahead of its official unveiling, the phone was benchmarked and listed on a certification database.

Before we get into what those sources reveal, Oppo’s promotional posters feature a hole-punch screen, a fingerprint scanner merged with the power button, and 90Hz refresh/180Hz touch sampling rates.

In our previous post, WhatMobile speculated that the Oppo K7x is simply a renamed Realme V5. The teasers, and these new details, all but confirm it. If you don’t track Oppo mobile price and its subsidiary’s expansive and confusing portfolios, Realme V5 is the cheapest 5G phone in the market right now -- from $240 (~ Rs. 38,000).

Other than Oppo K7x’s design that is identical to the V5, the TENNA listing for the phone also points to a twin spec sheet: 6.5” full HD+ LCD, 6GB/8GB of memory, 128GB of storage, and a battery capacity of 5000 mAh.

Plus, the same dimensions and weight. The rear camera array, featuring a 48MP standard + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth, is shared with Realme's model too.

The Geekbench 5 results tell the same story. The phone is listed under OPPO PERM00 and Realme V5’s MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 5G chipset powers it. It will be available in green, gray, and blue colors.
