When they debuted the series in Pakistan, three devices were to deploy here: Oppo Reno 12F 4G, Reno 12F 5G, and Reno 12 5G. The 4G F variant was put on retail instantly. But they kept others on standby for unknown reasons. Today, however, the other two models also go on retail, giving people a couple more options to look into. Pre-orders are open till 25th August to get free 1-year Screen protection and 2-year warranty.
OPPO Reno 12 5G
Reno 12 5G is far better than the other two, and the price reflects that. The first of many disparities is in the performance section. Pulling the load here is a Dimensity 7300 Energy chip. There’s a better GPU here, faster cores, and faster UFS 3.1 storage. Also, the variant launched here gets a 12GB + 512GB pairing.
Reno 12 5G puts an AMOLED 6.67” panel to the work with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200nits brightness. There’s HDR10+ support available here, coming from a 1080p screen. IP65 shall give this phone a proper water protection rating, and the screen shall prove scratch-resistant with Gorilla Glass 7i.
They use a 50 MP (primary) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 2 MP (macro) + 32 MP (selfie) assembly for cameras. Reno12 5G is quick at recharging. 80W wired input tops up the 5000mAh cell in 46 minutes. Bluetooth 5.4’s here, 360-NFC, and BeaconLink calls via Bluetooth with over 200m range. Its price in Pakistan is Rs 159,999.
OPPO Reno 12F 5G
This phone treats you with the same 6.67” AMOLED panel. There’s a 120Hz refresh rate, and the brightness can reach 2100 nits under specific conditions. But there’s no HDR10+ support here. A Dragon Trail glass shields the phone, and the chassis has an IP64 rating.
Dimensity 6300 chip at the helm handles the processing. Its 2.4GHz clock, UFS 2.2 ROM, and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU make the phone usable for light tasks. RAM and storage for the Pakistani variant peak at 12GB + 256GB. It keeps the camera setting of Reno 12 5G with rear 50MP + 8MP + 2MP assembly and front 32MP selfie unit.
They ship it with Android 14 and ColorOS 14.1. 5000mAh cell juices the hardware here, and they’ve squeezed in a 45W charging kit under its hood. Both phones have fingerprint readers on their screens. Price-wise, Reno 12F 5G will cost Rs 99,999 in Pakistan.
