An image has appeared for the first time featuring Oppo Reno 13 and it’s quite controversial, making all sorts of headlines. People are comparing it to the iPhone’s design, and even DCS (the source behind this leak) shared its image side-by-side with the iPhone 15 proving the point.
Digital Chat Station recently said it will launch in China first on November 25th, and the series will become global sometime after. He has now shared an image of Reno 13 to expose the design in a real-life shot. Put side by side with the iPhone 15, you can tell from where this Reno 13 takes inspiration.
If you overlook the diagonal position of the iPhone’s lenses, there’s almost nothing indistinguishable from how Reno 13 looks and feels. Squircle camera island is there, melting into the chassis and raised ever so slightly. It’s even glossy around the camera region with frosted rear glass.
Vertical camera alignments, three lenses, and a ring flash are the only differences, if you look at this image of the iPhone 15 and the Oppo's newest Reno mobile. Even the middle frame on these handsets looks identical, with brushed aluminum, and flat side rails that are slightly rounded at the edges.
There are rumors that Reno 13 will be a quad-micro-curved OLED handset at a 6.59” screen size and we’ll see it clock at a 120Hz refresh rate. Of course, Reno 13 is adopting a semi-flagship philosophy, and the rumors say this phone may be using a Dimensity 8350, 5600mAh battery, and Android 15.
