Oppo Reno 13 Series Unveiled; Newer Design, 50W Wireless Charging & Dimensity 8350

Oppo Reno 13 series is now official in China, and as we suspected, the company has brought two new handsets in the upper midrange category for fans. They are Oppo Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro, with all-new designs entirely different from what we are used to, plus tons of high-end features. This is a brief review of all their features.

Oppo Reno 13 Pro

As the name implies, this handset is the better version of these two and secures a bigger screen. Reno 13 Pro is built around a 6.83” AMOLED panel that refreshes at a 120Hz speed with a 1.5K resolution, and super thin borders envelop this front visor. That punch hole on top is home to a 50 MP selfie camera.

You can tell by design that there are three cameras on the back. One is a 50 MP standard focal length IMX890 with OIS but the other is a 3.5x telephoto shooter for your portrait images. That third lens on the side is an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. An underwater shooting mode is this phone’s specialty allowed by a high IP69 rating.

Both phones have the same chip, a Dimensity 8350. MediaTek says that they’ve improved its efficiency by 10% and managed about 24% smoother transitions against the basic D8300. There’s even a newer Oppo X1 chip for better wireless connections.

Reno 13 Pro has a 5800mAh battery slapped under the screen and you’ll find 50W wireless and 80W wired charging kits for its backup. It has more essential features like WiFi 6 and under-display fingerprint ID that people might appreciate. All this stuff comes at a base CNY 3,399 price tag (~PKR 130,000) for Reno 13 Pro (12/256GB).

This phone keeps the same Dimensity 8350 chip, Android 15, and Google’s Circle to Search option as the Pro, but the battery is slightly cut down from 5800 to 5600mAh. At least, the 80W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds remain the same for both.

The AMOLED screen is also smaller on Reno 13. They’ve used a 6.59” panel on this device pushing pixels at a 120Hz refresh rate at 1.5K. 50MP selfie camera and the non-intrusive bezel-less experience are also present on this phone. 1200nits brightness is the same on both handsets, but HDR10+ remains exclusive to 13 Pro.

Reno 13 gets you a 50 MP main OIS camera on the back, plus an 8 MP ultrawide secondary unit. There’s your usual under-screen fingerprint reader, and the phone has an IP69/IP68 rating. The base price for Reno 13 (12/256GB) is CNY 2,699 or ~PKR 103,000.
