OPPO Reno 13 series has made it outside China, reaching global markets, as we speak. The family has Reno 13, Reno 13 Pro, Reno 13F 5G, and Reno 13F, which debuted worldwide yesterday. Even though the initial deployment began in the Pacific Asian region, we’ll see the lineup expand further soon.
Oppo’s new semi-flagship series is advertised as Water-Submersible and packed with some Flagship-like AI features. Something else Oppo has been proudly promoting is an all-round performance, which might have to do with chipsets aboard these mid-range handsets.
Reno 13 and 13 Pro are at the top of the list, ranked the best among this squad, so they bring the most powerful chip. This duo bags MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8350 platform that cranks the CPU speed to 3.35GHz, with UFS 3.1 class storage. That’s on par with most flagship phones.
These Oppo's new Reno mobiles are built with under-water durability in mind. Each has an IP69 rating, submersible in 2-meter deep water for 30 minutes. That means an underwater photoshoot is a possibility here. On top of this, Oppo added auto color tuning for photos inside water and a physical button to control the shutter.
While we are on the topic of cameras, the Reno 13 family has AI Live Photo and AI Editing to better the overall photography. Reno 13 Pro is built around a triple-cam rear-facing setup: 50 MP alpha unit + 50 MP telephoto + 8 MP ultrawide. It also has a 50 MP selfie camera.
Reno 13 has the main 50 MP lens, 8 MP wide, 2 MP depth, and 50 MP selfie. Both phones can record videos in 4K/60FPS front and back. Reno 13 has the same kind of AMOLED display but shorter at 6.59” 120Hz HDR10+ with 1.5K resolution. Reno 13 Pro has all those qualities but on a 6.83” AMOLED.
The Pro phone brings a 5800mAh power source to draw from, 80W wired, and 50W wireless charging. Its non-Pro sibling is 5600mAh, same 80W wired input, but no wireless charging. No details have come out yet about their global prices, but we assume they’ll vary across regions. We’ll update you as soon as more info about the Reno 13 series comes to light.
