OPPO Reno 13F 4G & 5G Variants Join the Series with Midrange Chips, 120Hz OLED, IP69 Rating

OPPO Reno 13 and 13 Pro rule the company’s latest midrange lineup, but did you know the company recently announced two more handsets from the same series? The new ones are marked with the letter F to imply they are cheaper and less powerful variations. Reno 13F 5G and Reno 13F debuted moments ago and here’s a brief overview of both newcomers.

OPPO Reno 13F 5G

This phone runs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip with 5G connectivity, but you can expect almost the same performance from either sibling. The RAM type used here is LPDDR4X 2133MHz in either 8 GB or 12 GB memory. Reno 13F 5G also has the upper hand with better UFS 3.1 storage and options ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB.

The display quality on either phone is spectacular. Both phones use the same OLED 6.67” screen with FHD+ 1080p resolution, refresh rate cranked up to 120Hz, and 100% DCI-P3 and sRGB color ranges. 1200nits max brightness makes the content pop and DragonTrail Star 2 Glass saves it from scratches.

This new duo is built to last with an IP68/IP69 rating. Oppo even advertises underwater photography, submerged in 2-meter-deep water for 30 minutes. Reno 13F 5G will record 4K/30FPS videos via its 50 MP main shooter. The rest of the cameras are 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and 32 MP selfies.

With either the 4G or 5G version, the same 5800mAh cell powers the hardware, and 45W SuperVOOC charging gives backup. Also, its optical fingerprint lies under the screen and you get stereo dual speakers for great audio.

OPPO Reno 13F

This one is limited to 4G connections and an MTK Helio G100 chip runs software here. You’ll only find 13F with 8 GB RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB storage. UFS 2.2 isn’t as fast for storage, but it will get the job done, and you can expand it with an SD card slot.

As explained before, the OLED 6.67” is standard on both phones with 120Hz refresh rate and 1200nits brightness. Both phones even have the same IP68/IP69 rating, underwater submersible, and the screen is protected with DragonTrail Star 2 Glass.

This sibling has three cameras on the rear, starring a 50 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP Macro. Flip to the front, its selfie camera uses a 32 MP sensor, but there is one caveat. The 4G Reno 13F only records 1080p videos, not 4K. Still, the battery capacity and charging speeds are the same at 5800mAh and 45W.

Neither of the Reno 13 F siblings has announced the price, but we expect those details to unravel as soon as the wider rollout begins for the Global Reno 13 series.
