The next addition to the still-recent Oppo Reno 3 family, the Oppo Reno 3 Vitality Edition, is now available for pre-order through certain online vendors in China. The Vitality Edition gets a slight bump in performance, leaving it somewhere between the standard Reno 3 and the Reno 3 Pro. You also get 5G connectivity, as you do with Reno 3 Pro.
There’s no significant change in Oppo Reno 3 Vitality edition in terms of design language save for the color options you can pick from -- Moonlight Black, Streamer Gold, and Sky Mirror White. The glass shell on the back curves around the edges, to give it an almost chamfered look. There’s a drop notch on the front, fixed in a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a next-gen under-display fingerprint scanner.
The Reno 3 Vitality is powered by a Snapdragon 765 chip, under its hood. Contrast it to the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC that drives the base Reno 3, it’s a welcome improvement. The chipset is rounded off by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 native storage. The internals support dual WiFi acceleration, which allows for better networking speed.
The performance can be further refined with Link Boost 2.0, which offers a better touch sampling rate and smoother graphics performance when you’re gaming. The Reno 3 Vitality still ships with Oppo’s latest Android-10-based skin ColorOS 7, so no apparent changes there.
But it’s not all improvements abound; The company downgraded the primary lens from 64MP to 48MP Affect the Oppo mobile prices, which is now paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a pair of 2MP tertiary sensors. The cameras are stacked in a vertical layout, with an LED flash flanking the setup. For snapping selfies, the Reno 3 Vitality features a 32MP front-facing camera. The entire hardware draws power from a 4025 mAh cell with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging.
It's too early to predict if the handset will arrive in Pakistan or not but one can pre-order the Vitality edition in China via Oppo’s official website, and it’ll set you back $430 or about 66,000 Pakistani rupees without applicable taxes.
