We’re seeing the last round of leaks before the Reno 7 series drops later this month. Oppo is introducing a budget SE edition which means we might not see a Reno 7 Pro+. The series would then feature Oppo Reno 7 SE, Reno 7, and Reno 7 Pro. The Pro model was just featured in a hands-on leak.
Courtesy of a source based in China published a photo showcasing the Oppo Reno 7 Pro front panel. The last-gen Reno 6 Pro had a display melting into the edges and flanked by an uneven bezel.
The Reno 7 Pro, on the other hand, features a perfectly flat screen and slim, symmetrical bezels. Think the modern iPhone design but with an O-hole punched through it. Digital Chat Station, another industry leaker, reports that the display refreshes at a seamless 120Hz rate. It’s a 1080P OLED panel.
In typical Reno fashion, the phone has featherweight dimensions — 7.6mm in thickness and 185g in weight to be specific. The chip inside this build is rumored to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G at a flagship Oppo mobile price. There is some confusion surrounding the specs since some sources point to a flagship chip. In either case, it’s a 5G platform powered by 60W charging and a split-cell 4500 mAh battery.
The camera system on the Reno 7 Pro is second to none. We’re looking at a Samsung-made 50MP wide lens, a 64MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP telephoto lens for lossless zooming. Embedded inside the O-hole, there’s a 32MP selfie camera.
