Oppo Reno 7 belongs to the third generation of Reno phones to come out this year. Like the Oppo Reno 6 and Reno 5 series, the Reno 7 is also a side-grade over the previous gen. Oppo has already been securing product certifications. And although official sources have yet to tease the Reno 7, its features and launch timeline were leaked online.
Courtesy of a phone leaker based in China, we learn that the Oppo Reno 7 adopts 5G MediaTek silicon. At its heart, the phone has the Dimensity 920 powered by a 4500 mAh battery.
It’s paired with up to 256GB of lightning-fast UFS 3.1 storage, a step up from the UFS 2.1 in the Reno 6. The Reno 7 still uses SuperVOOC 2.0 65W charging. Liquid cooling keeps the phone from throttling. Cardless payment through NFC is also available. The audio experience is made immersive with dual stereo speakers.
No word on the Oppo mobile price yet but the manufacturer has revisited the camera design. Its layout presents three lenses housed inside duotone accents. The triple-camera cluster has a 50MP wide sensor from Sony, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP portrait lens. Flip the Reno 7 over to find a 32MP front camera.
The screen is a 6.5” AMOLED panel that delivers a Full HD resolution and refreshes at 90Hz. It’s a slightly curved display with an O-hole punched through its corner.
Oppo Reno 7 starts at 2,999 Yuan (~ Rs. 79,700.) The launch is slated for November. Oppo also has two Pro editions lined up for release along the baseline Reno 7. Both phones use flagship chips — the Reno 7 Pro has Dimensity 1200, and the Pro+ features Snapdragon 888.
