Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah became Oppo's brand ambassador earlier this year when the Oppo Reno 3 Pro came out. The footballer went on to endorse the Reno4 series too. And to celebrate the partnership, Oppo introduced the Reno4 Mo Salah edition yesterday. Currently, it is available exclusively in Egypt.
Taking a sharp turn from the plain halftone aesthetic that the Oppo reno 4 Pro or the standard Reno 4 has, this Mo Salah Edition is much more eye-catching. The camera plate is painted in cherry red, contrasting nicely against the perfectly round camera rings.
The back features a red to ash gradient and red geometric overlays, rounded off by a pixel-style engraving of Mo's profile and his signature. The ColorOS onboard is also similarly themed, complete with redesigned icons and wallpapers.
Other than the new paint job, the Oppo Reno 4 Mo Salah Edition is the same phone. You’re looking at a full HD+ 6.4” OLED display with a capsule hole-punch on the front and a fingerprint scanner underneath. The back is still plastic, and the quad-camera array on it features 48MP standard and 8MP ultra-wide lenses. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G processor and a 4015 mAh battery, with 30W fast charging support, power the device.
It’s available in a single, 8GB + 128GB configuration and starts from EGP 6,590 (~ Rs. 67,290). For a quick comparison, the Reno4 costs Rs. 59,999 in Pakistan. Oppo hasn’t announced if the Mo Salah Edition will be released in other markets.
