POCO X2 Live Images Revealed; Pill-style Selfie Camera and an SD 730G SoC

We’re only days away from the official launch of the upcoming POCO X2, but we hadn’t got any concrete design details until now. A fresh leak has just given us our first look at the live images of the POCO X2. The live shots reveal a few key specifications and, as previously suspected, confirm that POCO X2 is a rebranded Redmi K30.

Bearing the code name “phoenixin,” the Xiaomi Pocophone X2 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset (even though the photographed settings menu says SM7150, which is simply another name for the aforementioned chipset.)

You can also make out a twin-selfie-camera setup housed inside a pill-style cutout, placed on the top-right corner. The display that touts this optics package is dubbed ‘RealityFlow Display.’ It measures 6.67 inches and can produce a 2K resolution at a 120 Hz refresh rate.

As WhatMobile noted in a previous post, the rear-camera setup features a custom-built Sony lens that uses ‘All-pixel omnidirectional focusing technology’ to capture better low-light shots. This 64-megapixel IMX686 shooter will be part of a quad-camera system, aligned in a vertical layout.

If you go by the specs on the Redmi K30, the lenses rounding off this custom sensor should be an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and finally a 2-megapixel portrait cam.

While Redmi K30 debuted with 256 GB of native storage and 8 GB of memory, a report suggests that the POCO X2 might rock a downgraded configuration, and combine 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage, at a lesser Xiaomi price tag.

In a similar vein, the K30 was powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 30W fast-charging, but X2’s official landing page on Flipkart reveals that it will support 27W fast-charging, hinting at a subtly smaller battery capacity. We’ll have more details before the phone goes official on February 4.
