Poco X7 Pro rolled down the stage yesterday for a global debut. This is also great news for us Pakistani folks because we are listed among the first countries to welcome it. Poco has made announcements on social media and you should know that the Pre-orders are now live at Mistore.pk. The early booking will remain open till January 16.
The base Poco X7 debuted with the Pro version in international markets, but sadly, there’s no word about its availability in Pakistan yet. No matter! We still have all the details about the global Poco X7 and the Poco X7 Pro, which is just on its way to our market.
Poco X7 Pro
As the rumor mill pointed out earlier, the Poco X7 Pro is indeed the rebadged Redmi Turbo 4 from China. Their specs are aligned. X7 Pro is built around the same Dimensity 8400 chip with as high as 12 GB RAM. The pre-order listing shows only a single 512 GB storage option for Pakistan.
It has a quality screen at 6.67” and a 1.5K resolution, but the best thing about this AMOLED panel is the 3200nits peak brightness level. It’s also possible to watch Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. Of course, we also get a 120Hz refresh rate here, and more importantly, the panel has Gorilla Glass 7i guarding it.
IP68 rating, dust, and waterproof chassis make it durable and even submersible in 1.5m deep water. A 6500mAh battery keeps everything juiced up for over a day, and a 90W charging backup refills the battery quickly.
That rear camera has a Sony IMX882 50 MP shooter (OIS) with an 8 MP ultrawide for assistance. 20 MP sensor on the front takes clear selfies. It has the signature IR blaster, an under-screen fingerprint reader, and even some AI features baked into its entire HyperOS 2.0 UI. Poco X7 Pro (12/512GB) will cost Rs 139,999 in Pakistan.
Xiaomi Poco X7
You can tell by the looks that the Poco X7 is a Redmi Note 14 Pro in disguise, and with the battery pack snipped to 5110mAh, the specs are just the same. One more thing: Even though it’s part of the same crew, the X7 has the older Android 14 Hyper OS 1.0 instead of the Hyper OS 2.0 like the X7 Pro has.
Since we are taking a step down, the X7 is based on Dimensity 7300 Ultra 4nm 2.5GHz midrange SoC. Its screen is 6.67” 120Hz with 1.5k resolution, almost the same size as its Pro version, but you might notice that it’s curved. X7’s brightness is 3000 Nits (max) with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support.
There are no compromises on the durability side either. It’s IP68 rated, and the AMOLED screen has a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for some drop resistance. 45W power delivery and smart charge engine will keep the battery vitality in check. Its camera setup also brings a 50 MP main OIS platform with an 8 MP ultrawide and 20 MP selfie on the front.
Poco X7 starts at 8/128 GB for only $229 (~PKR 63,000), but you should know it hasn’t been debuted in Pakistan yet. Meanwhile, Poco X7 Pro has already started pre-orders locally at Rs 139,999.
