Realme 12 came in March 2024. It had a fancy look and a 5G Dimensity 6100+ pulling the load. It turned out to be a solid phone, hands down. But limited availability was its curse. Thus, Realme plans to arrange a comeback for it but with a 4G Snapdragon 685 SoC this time. We found its full details on the leak street. And they come straight from the tipster Paras Guglani.
We gather Realme 12 4G wraps around a 6.67" AMOLED 120Hz 1080p resolution panel. Those renders show an extremely tiny cutout for the front cam. Guglani says there's a 16 MP selfie shooter living in it. And assuming the leaks are valid. There will be a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 rear unit for photos.
We'll probably find a 5000 mAh battery boosting the system and close to 67W fast charging to go along with it. The best possible scenario we can all hope for with Realme 12 4G is 8/512 GB. But its starter variant must be an uncommon 8/128 GB and the Realme UI 5.0 x Android 14 combo.
Guglani expectations about Realme 12 4G's processor seem plausible enough. Snapdragon 685 is eerily close to 695 sans the 5G connectivity. So, it makes perfect sense. We know from experience that it does close to 2.8GHz speed. And the Realme flagship new phone also handles graphics fine with that Adreno 610 GPU.
He tipped a collection of marketing material intended for Realme 12 4G. That clearly touts the Rainwater Smart Touch tech and IP54 rating. Also, The leak gave up another thing to look forward to. And that is the price. $189 (~PKR 52,000) could be its official starter cost.
