Realme finally expands its numbered series with the vanilla Realme 12, thus enriching the lineup with several new features. The Realme 12 is a budget model that opts for a powerful Dimensity 6100+ chipset, an impressive primary camera of 108MP with 3x in-sensor zoom, and a strong battery of 5000mAh that supports up to 45W fast charging.
The phone has an IPS LCD measuring about 6.72 inches in size. It offers FHD+ resolution and a smooth refresh rate of up to 120Hz. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera on this display. The panel can reach peak brightness levels of around 950 nits.
A starkly different approach shines through with the device’s rear camera system. It includes a remarkable prime sensor (ISOCELL HM6) with up to 3X in-sensor zooming capabilities, plus another depth sensor with a 2-megapixel resolution.
Onboard is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, paired with RAM/storage options ranging from 6GB/128 GB leading up to 8GB/128GB, respectively. It also features expandable storage via a MicroSD slot. Notably, the Realme latest flagship mobile incorporates a Dynamic power button, allowing users to utilize it as a fingerprint scanner when pressed and held down.
With Realme UI 5 based on Android 14, this phone provides a contemporary software experience. Among other user-friendly aspects, it includes a charging brick within the packaging and some other accessories. Its stereo speakers alongside a headphone jack allow for a better multimedia experience.
Launched in Twilight Purple and Woodland Green colors, the Realme 12 pricing starts at $205 (~PKR 57,000) for the 6/128GB variant. Even though it’s initially available in India only, the phone will reach other global markets soon.
