Realme 14 Pro Plus has been shy to reveal its internal details, though we practically know everything about its design and durability at this point. It’s sensitive to cold and will change hues from white to blue when the ambient temperature hits 16 degrees Celsius or below.
A famous publication allegedly got its hand on one of the early samples of this phone after the first official announcement and then slipped out its camera details. Realme 14 Pro Plus leads the trio, and apparently, it’s the only one in its family tree with a periscope shooter.
Seeing the high-end zoomer lens on this device is no surprise for us, since 14 Pro+ pivots into the flagship handset category. The details revealed in this leak also mention a Sony IMX882 sensor under the periscope lens, again, made for flagship-level phones.
This is a 1/2” 50MP resolution sensor with OIS. That means it will magnetically stabilize the lens for zoom shots. Speaking of, it hits 3x optical zoom, and then digitally multiplies it to a 120x hybrid zoom. The new 5G Realme mobile may not exceed a mid-range price tag, so this flagship periscope zoom lens is the most coveted feature of this handset.
Of course, the periscope isn’t the only lens on Realme 14 Pro+. An 8 MP 120-degree FOV ultrawide lens is part of its rear camera assembly, followed by a 50 MP main sensor. Flip the phone over and it gives you a 32 MP front camera for selfies with eye-tracked autofocus. Realme 14 Pro+ will debut sometime in January, so it shouldn’t take long for the rest of its details to come out.
