Realme held an event in Denmark yesterday. That’s where Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro Plus made their first appearance and announcement before reaching other regions. Sadly, not all their specs were revealed at the event, but the keynote showed some key details. We find these phones fascinating, and surely, you will too.

A unique rear design was shown for the Realme 14 Pro series that helps change its color in cold temperatures. From the details we heard, this design is a 30-step crafting process and Realme had to work with a Danish company called Valeur Designers to achieve this.

Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro Plus designs are temperature-sensitive, so when they hit 16 degrees Celsius and below, they switch colors from Pearl White to vibrant blue. Color-changing designs aren’t new for Realme but this cold-reacting build takes the aesthetic science to a new level.

Fiber etching on every phone is unique because of the 30-step crafting process, so the design should appear different to every user. Of course, there is more to this Realme 5G new handset than the color-changing rear panel. The camera rig on the back has three flashes, which Realme calls the Magic Glow feature.

That circular ring has three cameras on Realme 14 Pro Plus, and two on Realme 14 Pro. The Pro Plus has an additional lens for the periscope telephoto sensor. Other details confirmed at the event were the screen’s 93.8% screen-to-body ratio with 1.6mm ultra-thin bezels, IP69 rating, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip for the Realme 14 Pro Plus.
