Realme unveiled the Realme 9 on schedule yesterday after a drawn-out teaser campaign. It’s presumably the last edition of the Realme 9 series that’s already being rolled out in India. And its next stop should be Pakistan (based on the usual release calendar.)
The design of Realme’s modern phones has become homogenized across the board. Realme 9 rocks the streamlined design too, featuring a flat-edged slab and a triple-camera layout. It’s finished in a single-tone gradient and a wavy texture. You can pick from Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White, and Meteor Black colors. At 7.99mm, the phone is relatively slim.
Flip it over to find a 6.4” SuperAMOLED screen. The resolution is 1080P, the refresh rate is 90Hz, and the touch sampling peaks at a responsive 360Hz. One thousand nits of brightness hit flagship-grade levels.
The Chinese manufacturer has hidden a fingerprint scanner beneath the screen of the realme new model, and it also doubles as a heart rate monitor. And the whole thing is toughened with Gorilla Glass 5.
Next, we have the camera system. It’s a cluster of 108MP main, 4cm macro, and 120° superwide lenses. The 108MP HM2 image sensor can capture clear, bright night mode shots. Realme promises lossless digital zooming up to 3x and Street Photography with many filters and shooting modes. The front camera has a 16MP behind it.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is at the heart of Realme 9. It’s paired with 6GB/8GB of memory and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Everything runs on a 5000 mAh battery and 33W DartCharge. Per the web listing, Realme has run over 320 tests to ensure durability and quality. The baseline model starts from ~ PKR 39,900, and the fully-specced out version costs ~ Rs. 42,300.
