Only one edition of the Realme 9 series has been rolled out. The Realme 9i was the first, but the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ are supposed to follow this week. Realme has been hyping up the two Pro models for several days now. However, the baseline Realme 9 5G has stayed under the radar for the most part.

At least until now, because the Realme 9 5G was just certified on the American FCC database. Plus, real-world photos have also surfaced on Twitter, giving us our first look at the Realme 9. Note that the handset also comes in a 4G edition. Realme 9 4G variant slated for release in Pakistan sometime in April, as per our reliable sources. Here’s everything we’ve learned so far.

First off, the Realme 9 5G rocks the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip — a step up from the entry-level Dimensity 700 SoC inside the Realme 8 5G. Other than the chip, Realme is also introducing a dual stereo speaker system this year. But the rest of the specs are shared with the Realme 8 5G, more or less.

As for the certifications, the Realme 9 5G is featured on the directories of Indian BIS, Russian EEC, and American FCC agencies and will soon join the Realme price catalog. You can look it up under the model number “RMX3388.” Also, the official user manual for the Realme 9 5G was included with the FCC documents.
