Realme is soon rolling out two Realme 8 series phones — the Realme 8i and the Realme 8s. This duo’s launch is slated for September 9, but the Chinese phone maker is already working on the sequel lineup. A Realme executive went on record to announce this upcoming release of the Realme 9 series.

Francis Wong, the CEO of realme India and Europe, tweeted that the Realme 9 series will follow soon after the Realme 8i and Realme 8s debut — rounding off the bi-annual release calendar of the Realme number series.

At the Realme 8s and 8i launch event, Realme will supposedly make a “big announcement” regarding the Realme 9 series. The executive also teased Realme 9’s multitasking features.

Thanks to Dynamic RAM Expansion (that utilizes internal new Realme mobile phone 2021  as virtual memory), the 8GB of RAM inside the phone is extended to 13GB. No concrete timeline has emerged yet, but the rumor mill puts the expected release of the Realme 9 series in October. We also suspect it to feature at least four models: Realme 9, Realme 9 Prime, Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9A.

An alleged press image featuring the Realme 9 uncovers an unexpected design. The clean, matrix-style camera layout of the Realme 8 series is gone. Realme 9 goes back to the look the Realme 7 sported. This design language (which was already generic) is more nondescript than ever. More details should crop up in the weeks that follow.
