Realme 9i was recently featured in leaked press images, showcasing it from multiple angles. The official launch for the Realme 9 lineup is still almost a month away, which means more leaks were bound to turn up. The latest one in this string is another set of the 9i product mockups, corroborating the previous report.

Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as @Onleaks, published the new Realme 9i. The new mockups are in line with the product renders that surfaced before. We’re looking at the same design inspired by the Realme GT series.

Save for the camera rectangle and the ‘realme’ branding, the casing is clean and textured. The frame is chamfered and has a groove etched into it. The side-facing power button in there pulls double duty as the fingerprint scanner. Realme 9i comes in at least one graphite color.

Flip the phone over to meet its display. Realme has trimmed the bezels further, but the O-hole cutout still sits off-center. Reportedly, it’s a 6.5” IPS LCD that delivers a 1080P resolution at a responsive 90Hz refresh rate, all of that at an affordable Realme mobile price. A 50MP sensor leads the triple-camera array on the back.

Realme 9i has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 at its heart — a new budget 4G chip built on a 6nm node. Android-11-based Realme UI and a 5000 mAh battery power the hardware. The charging support is a mystery, but it uses a modern USB-C interface. You can also make out a 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom of the phone.

Realme 9i is part of the Realme 9 series, featuring Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9 Pro+. The Pro editions are rumored to adopt the high-performance Snapdragon 870 and 120Hz screen — a big leap from the last-gen Realme 8 phones.
