Realme C21Y is the Latest Ultra-affordable Smartphone; Long Battery Life and Triple-camera

The Realme C-series features some of the most wallet-friendly phones from the brand, sharing formulaic builds that span the entry-level to the budget segment. Realme just added another basic edition of the Realme C21, appending 'Y' to the title. The C21Y is built on Realme C21 but comes at an even cheaper price tag.

It made its official debut in Vietnam. Realme C21Y offers barebones, essential features only and swaps out MediaTek silicon for a Unisoc chip. The 12nm Tiger T610 inside has an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.8GHz. Realme paired it with 4GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage — expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

This internal hardware is powered by a massive 5000 mAh battery that lacks any fast-charging support. Realme C21Y can, however, reverse charge other devices when you’re on the go. The USB interface is the old-gen micro-USB. Similarly, realmeUI based on Android10 runs on the phone.

Realme C21Y is certified by TÜV Rheinland for quality and durability to prolong usability. There’s nothing new in Realme new model for 2021 in terms of design. The build has hefty dimensions — 9.1mm in depth and 200g in weight, to be specific. It has a notched screen and plastic shell featuring a rear-facing thumbprint reader and a geometric finish. You can pick from blue and black shades.

We’re looking at a generic 6.5” IPS LCD with 400 nits of peak brightness and a 720P resolution. The camera housed inside the notch is 5MP. Flip the Realme C21Y over to find a 13MP main camera and two low-res cameras for macro and B&W modes. Realme C21Y starts from VND 3,490,000 (~ Rs. 24,000.)
