Earlier this week, WhatMobile reported that Realme has partnered with Arshard Nadeem. They issued a press release about their collab with the Javelin-throw Olympic Gold winner to launch the Realme C61 in Pakistan with a 2-year warranty. Well, the phone is officially out in our market (available in stores from 9th September), and this is everything you can expect from it.
A two-year extended warranty for such a phone is bold, but we should expect nothing less from Realme. They say Realme C61 mirrors the spirit and determination of our Gold-winner Hero, Arshad Nadeem. And that 24-month warranty is proof of how confident they are in C61's strength.
And by strength, we mean it's drop-resistant and safe from elements due to its IP54 rating. They also give a 4-year battery health guarantee with it. It's also a comfy-to-hold package at 7.8mm thickness. At the front of Realme C61, we meet a 90Hz 6.74" IPS screen at HD+ resolution.
They used a Unisoc platform here in the latest Realme budget mobile. More specifically, a 1.8GHz Unisoc T612 with 6GB physical RAM. The adverts you see show a virtual extended figure of 18 GB memory. Realme C61 may have a 256 GB option globally, but they only released 128 GB for Pakistan.
That camera array uses two lenses only: 50MP (primary lens) + 0.08MP (auxiliary lens). Out of those two, only the first one is functional. C61's front side only has a 5MP selfie snapper, so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase it.
There is a side fingerprint ID here. C61 can let you run the phone all day because of its 5000mAh battery. But the charging speed will be slow at 15W only. You should be able to purchase Realme C61 from your nearest brick-and-mortar store from 9th September, priced at Rs 32,999.
