Realme’s recent press release claims that the oncoming Realme C75 will be Pakistan’s first IP69-rated device. This phone will debut in Pakistan on December 3rd as the segment’s most premium and durable phone and it’s indeed the case here. You won’t find a sturdier phone elsewhere.
In typical entry-level to mid-range classes, the phones have an IP54 rating or an IP65 in best-case scenarios, but the Realme C75 is leaps and bounds ahead. The phones tested with IP54 have minimal dust protection and ingress resistance, and they can only withstand minor water splashes.
IP65 kicks it up a notch with water protection and the phones rated at this level can stand pressured water jets from all angles, with no water submersion and high dust and elemental protection. IP69-rated phones, like the Realme C75, are rare even in the flagship category. Not even the latest iPhone 16 Pros or the Galaxy S24 lineup has that kind of durability.
IP69 rating is the peak durability achieved among ordinary handsets. It secures the phone against high-temperature water jets, water submersion, high-pressure environments, and prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Realme confirmed in their press release that the phone has been meticulously checked with underwater unboxing tests, spilling beverages, dropping it in fishing tanks, and many other scenarios emulating real life. The protection goes beyond the IP69 rating with the Realme C75.
This phone passed all the tests for Military-grade shock resistance under MIL-STD-810H certification. Realme’s press release was missing details on the topic, but C75 has been actively teasing the feature on social media. This military equipment certification has 30+ environmental conditions, including extreme weather, dust, moisture, and shock.
If durability is a priority, Realme C75 is supposed to be the best in Pakistan. The phone’s price is expected in the budget segment, so it should be affordable enough for most smartphone buyers in our market. C75 will debut next week on December 23rd, and the pricing details will be revealed on the same day.
