Realme has released several higher-end phones under their new GT line, including the Realme GT Master Edition in Pakistan. And it has all been leading up to Realme’s very first flagship series, the GT 2. The rumor mill leaked a few details already. And the baseline Realme GT 2 was just spotted on the brand's website.
The Realme GT 2 series features the Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro. Mukul Sharma — a Twitter-based leaker — found ‘realme gt2’ buried in the source code of the Realme India website. We expect the two GT 2 phones to debut there before heading out to other markets.
Official sources also published the launch timeline. Realme has scheduled a Special Event on December 20, 2021, to announce the Realme GT 2 series. We expect the duo to be unveiled there — pricing, specs, features, the works. But the GT 2 phones won’t hit stores until the first quarter of 2022.
The Realme new GT model is still a mystery, but a press image and specs belonging to the Relame GT 2 Pro have been leaked. At its heart, the GT 2 Pro has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the latest and greatest from Qualcomm. The screen is a 6.8” panel with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The triple-lens camera features a 50MP+50MP+8MP array. A 5000 mAh battery and 65W charging power the phone. Realme UI 3, built on Android 12, runs on this hardware.
