Realme GT 7 Teaser Confirms Dimensity 9400+ Chipset Ahead of Launch

Realme’s GT 7 catalog still has one more variant in the making. The company started this series in November 2024, first launching the Realme GT 7 Pro model, which was later given a “Racing Edition” makeover in February 2025. It has been several weeks since then, and we finally have the brand’s confirmation about the vanilla Realme GT 7 joining the family soon.

Of course, among the initial trailers, there’s no official launch date to report, but the company has started laying the groundwork for the phone’s build-up. The first details are already made public in a teaser. It would seem Realme has procured MediaTek’s brand-new flagship SoC for its GT 7 model before everyone else in the market.

MTK Dimensity 9400+ SoC has been teased for the company’s next gaming phone, the Realme GT 7. It’s been reported that Vivo X200S and Oppo Find X8S will grab the same chipset down the line, but for now, Realme GT 7 will squeeze all the publicity out of its first contact with D9400+.

From what we’ve heard so far about this chip, it’s an upgraded version of the same Dimensity 9400 SoC released in October last year. The Realme new GT mobile had an all-power-core architecture with a Cortex-X925 ultra-core of 3.62 GHz clock, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.3 GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4 GHz.

Dimensity 9400+ takes the Cortex X925 P-core and bumps it up to 3.7 GHz clock frequency, which makes this new SoC an overclocked D9400 extension. The real-world effect of this upgrade will be seen later, when the Realme GT 7 finally makes a debut.

This new MTK platform makes the Realme GT 7 almost as fast as the GT 7 Pro model with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip at its helm, but it isn’t quite there yet. From what NanoReviews reported, the 4.47 GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite still remains the fastest Android Mobile chip in 2025.

Realme GT 7 has some other tricks up its sleeves to separate itself from the typical flagship. DCS reported that the battery on this new device will be a massive 7000mAh single-cell pack with 100W fast charging and the same AMOLED as the Realme GT 7 Pro. MTK will release Dimensity 9400+ on April 11, which means Realme GT 7 could debut around the same time to become the segment’s first D9400+ user. Until then, stay tuned for more teasers and an official launch date.
