Before the upcoming release of Realme GT Neo 2, the phone has been featured in product mockups. But its specification sheet was missing, until now. The GT Neo 2 can now be found on a benchmarking platform, along with its system specs.
The Realme GT Neo 2 is listed on the popular cross-platform benchmark, Geekbench, under the model number ‘RMX3370.’ Its predecessor, the GT Neo, was powered by the flagship MediaTek silicon; the GT Neo 2 adopts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. Even the Realme GT Master Edition has a snapdragon 778G. The Snapdragon 870 is an overclocked edition of last year’s Snapdragon 865+ — a capable, flagship-grade chip.
To contrast the Geekbench 4 scores, the Realme GT Neo hits 4602 points on single-core tests and 13894 points when engaging multiple cores. Realme GT Neo 2 fares slightly better on single-core benchmarks with 4678 points. But it falls behind on multi-core tests with 12690 points.
The Snapdragon 870 works with 8GB/12GB of memory. Android11-based realmeUI 2.0 powers this hardware. The upcoming addition to the Realme price list is all backed by a 5000 mAh battery that quick-charges over 65W DART technology.
Its screen is a 6.62” flat, hole-punched panel that delivers a Full HD resolution, refreshes at a smooth 120Hz, and houses an in-display fingerprint scanner. The front camera inside the cutout is 16MP. On the back of the Realme GT Neo 2, we find a triple camera. It is a cluster of 64MP wide, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro cameras.
Realme has also revisited the design language. The flashy, radical accents of the GT Neo are gone and replaced with an even, semi-glossy finish. You can pick from gray and gradient blue-yellow shades. Rumors put the expected launch of the GT Neo 2 either in late September or early October.
