Realme just went on record to confirm the upcoming arrival of the GT Neo 2. Following the brand’s bi-annual release calendar, the GT Neo 2 is the sequel to the original GT Neo that came out in spring this year. This premium Realme GT Master sibling has already been featured in product certifications and leaked press images, so we have some idea of what to expect.

As seen in a promotional poster celebrating the milestone of 1 million Realme GT Neo units sold, Realme notes that the next-gen Realme GT Neo 2 is coming soon. No official timeline has presented itself, but the Chinese TENNA authority has already signed off on the phone (under the model number ‘RMX 3370.’) The documents attached with the public listing give us insight into the specs of the Realme GT Neo 2.

At 8.6mm of depth and 200g of weight, the Neo 2 has the standard dimensions of a Realme phone. Its screen is a 6.62” AMOLED panel featuring an off-centered hole punch. The display fills a 20:9 aspect ratio, houses an on-screen fingerprint scanner, peaks at a 1080P resolution, and refreshes at 120Hz.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 (an overclocked version of last year’s flagship Snapdragon 865+ chip) crunches the numbers inside the GT Neo 2 at a flagship Realme mobile price tag. You get 12GB of overkill memory for multitasking. Plus, 512GB of flash UFS storage. Realme UI 2.0, built on Android11, powers the Realme GT Neo 2. A 4500 mAh battery, with 65W DART charging, backs up this hardware.

Instead of the flashy, love-it-or-hate-it design of the Realme GT Neo, the Neo 2 adopts a much more conservative look. The radical and reflective accents have been replaced with a muted gray panel. It is chamfered around the edges and houses its camera cluster inside a raised platform. We’re looking at an array of 64MP wide, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro lenses.
