The Narzo 50A belongs to the new generation of high-performance budget phones from Realme. It was first reported early this week when two separate certification authorities signed off on this upcoming Realme Narzo 30A successor. Only days later, we get the first preview in the form of a high-quality press image.
The prolific phone leaker @OnLeaks (also known as Steve Hemmerstoffer) published the product mockups on 91Mobiles. The Realme Narzo 50A sports a characteristic love-it-or-hate-it design. Its backplate has an oversized camera island that stretches over halfway across the width of the phone.
Realme’s camera housings (which started with inconspicuous pill designs) have morphed into generic squared-off casings. Here, the Narzo 50A plate features a cluster of three lenses, an LED flash, and even the capacitive fingerprint scanner. The unused space is filled with branding and accents. Plus, Realme has finished the shell in a geometric, duo-tone finish.
Flip the Narzo 50A over to find a notched screen with a heavy chin. On the bottom, the upcoming addition to the Realme price list has a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a single speaker grille. It’s showcased in a slate gray shade but more colors should also be available.
For the specs, the display is a 6.5” IPS LCD, presumably featuring a 1080P resolution and an 8MP selfie camera. Unsurprisingly, the rear camera is an entry-level setup — a 13MP wide and two low-res lenses. It’s all powered by the MediaTek Helio G85, a 6000 mAh battery, and 18W charging.
