Realme Narzo 80 Pro and 80x Unveiled with 6000mAh Batteries & Powerful Chips

Realme Narzo just added two new members to the family today. Both are upper midrange devices and quite likable with their best-in-class SoCs and 6000mAh batteries. The company has really outdone itself with these newcomers, as evident from the specs mentioned below. This is what you need to know about the Realme Narzo 80 Pro and Narzo 80x.

Realme Narzo 80 Pro

This is the superior variant in the lineup with specs like an AMOLED screen, RAM capacity at 12 GB, and the latest mid-tier chip from MediaTek. Starting with the basics first, the AMOLED panel used for this model is a curved 6.7” display with 1080p FHD+ resolution. Of course, it peaks at a 120Hz refresh rate, but the thing that surprised us the most is the AMOLED’s 4500 nits max brightness.

Performance-wise, Realme managed to snag MediaTek’s fresh-out-of-the-factory Dimensity 7400 SoC for its Narzo 80 Pro. It may be one of the only few devices to have that chipset right now. 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage are also onboard, but sadly, no SD card support is available on this model.

Realme’s Narzo devices are well-rounded packages with serviceable cameras. The Narzo 80 Pro has two: a 50 MP Main IMX882 shooter with OIS and a depth mapper as its secondary assistant. There’s also a 16 MP camera on the front for selfies.

The Narzo 80 Pro is built around a 6000mAh battery that can be plugged into an 80W fast charging adapter. More importantly, the phone is advertised with IP66/IP68/IP69 durability ratings, so it should be safe when submerged in water. Realme Narzo 80 Pro (8/128GB) has a starting price of around $230 (~PKR 65,000).

Realme Narzo 80x

This device has its own design, but it is just as durable with IP66/IP68/IP69 dust and waterproof ratings. Narzo 80x brings a flat profile and an IPS 6.7” display on the front. The contrast may be infinite, and the colors might not be as punchy as an AMOLED, but this IPS display is unique in its own right with FHD+ resolution at 120Hz and a peak of 950 nits brightness.

The operating system is handled by a Dimensity 6400 SoC, which is the same generation as the D7400, though it’s categorized as an entry-level chip. This device pairs the CPU with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage for the basic configuration. An 8 GB RAM variant also came out with the lineup, but for a slightly higher price.

Narzo 80x cuts corners in the camera department. There’s a 50 MP (OV50D) main unit on the rear side and a 2 MP portrait depth mapper. The selfie resolution hasn’t been revealed yet. The company did announce a 6000mAh battery and 45W charging for the Narzo 80x. Its starting price is around $162 (~PKR 45,000).
