Realme Narzo 80 Pro Teased: First in Segment with Dimensity 7400 SoC

Realme Narzo 80 Pro is on its way to global markets and it might be the first one to arrive with MTK’s new Dimensity 7400 platform. The company recently dropped a teaser for this phone, claiming the segment’s first Dimensity 7400 user. Realme might release this device very soon to maintain its advantageous position with the latest chip.

In the teaser, Realme claims that Narzo 80 Pro can achieve up to 780k+ AnTuTu benchmark scores. Some of the other teasers showed a glimpse of the phone’s display, claiming no frame drops and peak gaming. Most of what the teasers reveal is promotional slop, but the benchmark scores are interesting enough to give it another look.

The chipset does have a new title, but reports say it’s essentially the same as Dimensity 7300 SoC with no raw performance gain. But it might be worth an upgrade over Realme Narzo 70 Pro’s Dimensity 7050 SoC. The D7400 has a newer GPU (Mali-G615 MC2 vs. Mali-G68 MC4) and two extra P-cores with 2.5GHz processing.

The new platform is also more efficient since it uses TSMC’s 4nm node instead of 6nm from the previous generation. This new architecture will help Realme Narzo's latest model to draw less power for essentially the same performance as the Dimensity 7300.

Realme Narzo 80 Pro already has a landing page available on one of the shopping websites, where the brand claims “No lags while jumping between Apps.” Realme seems pretty confident in the chipset’s performance, though it might also need to optimize the phone’s UI for lag-free app switching.

There are no reports or leaks on the Narzo 80 Pro’s specs, but we did scour the web for details related to the Realme Narzo 80x from the same family. This model also has the latest MTK Dimensity 6400 SoC with an IPS LCD and a 1080p resolution.

The Narzo 80x has a fast refresh rate of 120Hz and a primary camera with a 50 MP resolution sensor. These specs are aligned with the previously released Realme P3x, which also had an IP68/IP69 rating for A-grade water protection. We can’t wait to find out more about the Narzo 80 series expected to launch in the global market soon.
