The anticipation is finally over, the company has officially unveiled the Realme Neo 7 for the Chinese market, and it has all the top-end features we’ve been hearing rumors about. This is a flagship-tier phone but demands only a sub-$300 starter price in the home market.
An ‘Ares Fulcrum’ branded design for Realme Neo 7 is meant to keep the user’s grip comfortable and consistent on the phone in horizontal or vertical positions. Its screen is a 6.78” BOE-made 8T OLED that can reach 6000nits brightness.
That OLED panel is also power efficient with its 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate and the resolution peaks at around 1.5K (2780×1264p). 2600Hz touch sampling will make Realme's new 5G handset very responsive during gameplay. Not only the display but we also have top-of-the-line durability here.
It’s been tested for IP69/IP68 ingress and full submersible waterproofing and the chassis is built with an anti-drop material and Crystal armor glass for the screen. This is a powerful phone meant for gaming, for the most part, so it comes with a fairly new and high-end Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
This is only one year old and MediaTek’s best consumer chip from 2023. D9300+ is a 3.4GHz chip, so it runs quite hot. A cooling system was prudent so Realme gave Neo 7 a massive 7,700mm² VC heatsink. Android 15 x Realme UI 6.0’s built-in gaming engine should help with temperature control and performance profiles.
Realme Neo 7 pairs 7000mAh massive battery with 80W fast charging that might last you for years with its advertised 1800 cycles. Cameras aren’t the phone’s main focus. Still, the 50 MP OIS main sensor, 8 MP ultrawide, and 16 MP selfie are solid for the price and shouldn’t be taken for granted. The Neo 7 (12/256GB) base variant costs 2,099 yuan (~$288 or PKR 88,000).
